Fine details... part 2,3,4

We only have 7 days left until closing, and a lot of final tasks have been completed.  The appliances are in; the terrace is almost done; the tvs are hung; painting is complete; the lamppost installed; and many more!  I haven't been very good at posting photos, so I'm bulding  a week's worth in this post, 8/13 first:

Fine details... part 1

Lots of things, big and little, have finished up this week.   We have gutters, a fireplace mantel, and the phone line has been connected.  EJ Garneau, our masonry contractor, carved a limestone shamrock for our doorbell - it is incredible!  Prep work for final painting has begun, and the garage is spotless.  Work has started on the terrace - we're close!  Only 16 days left!

We're in the home stretch!

I can't believe that we only have 23 days left before we close.  (But who's counting?!)  A lot more was accomplished today - the driveway is almost done; the forms are in for the sidewalk, side door to the garage, front steps, and garage steps; some of the mirrors have been hung; the bar top was delivered; and more cabinets were installed in the bar.
